Six Croatian sites and monuments were presented at the Nikko Festival in Japan...
Six Croatian sites and monuments added to the UNESCO's World Heritage List were presented within the four-day programme of the Nikko Festival in the same named Japanese city, held from 16 to 19 October 2003.
At the invitation of the Japanese Youth Chamber from Nikko, the exhibition was staged and equipped with posters, books and tourist brochures by the Croatian Embassy in Tokyo.
On Monday, 20 October 2003, Mr. Drago Buvač, Croatian Ambassador to Japan, proposed to Mr. Mitsuo Masugi, the Mayor of Nikko, to establish closer cooperation between these two UNESCO's cities and two large tourist destinations - Dubrovnik and Nikko - which the Mayor Masugi supported with keen interest.
