Croatia's accession to the OECD is progressing faster than expected
Croatia's accession process is going "faster than planned, faster than expected", said Minister Grlić Radman after the meeting of the OECD Council in Paris.
The Minister said that Croatia is "way ahead" of five other countries participating in the process - Argentina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Peru and Romania - that are also seeking membership of the organization. Minister Grlić Radman said that Croatia answered the questionnaires of 25 OECD committees before the deadline.
"It is important to adopt the laws, policies and practices of the OECD as a truly exemplary organization", which will benefit Croatian citizens, said the Minister, stressing that the legislation had already been harmonized to an extent when Croatia joined the EU.
