Croatia joins Hybrid CoE

Croatia on Tuesday became a member of the European Centre of Excellence for Countering Hybrid Threats (Hybrid CoE), one of the crucial institutions for the development of effective tools for countering hybrid threats and strengthening Allied and European security

Croatia on Tuesday became a member of the European Centre of Excellence for Countering Hybrid Threats (Hybrid CoE), one of the crucial institutions for the development of effective tools for countering hybrid threats and strengthening Allied and European security. Hybrid CoE serves as a hub of expertise for supporting individual and collective efforts of the participant countries to enhance their civilian and military capabilities, resilience and readiness to counter hybrid threats, with an emphasis on European security. The intention is for Hybrid CoE’s collective expertise and experience to be utilized by all participant countries, of which currently there are 29, as well as by the EU and NATO.

Participating in Hybrid CoE will boost Croatia’s international visibility and enable timely involvement in assessing issues of importance for its security and geopolitical position, as well as the integration of Croatia’s own views on hybrid activities in Europe, notably its southeast.

By actively participating in Hybrid CoE, Croatia will get a stronger platform for exposing hybrid actors in its immediate neighbourhood and gain valuable experience for boosting capability and advancing the national system for countering hybrid threats.

Attending the admittance ceremony was Croatian Ambassador to Finland Josip Buljević.
