Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Neven Pelicarić received 2 September 2008 Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina Aleksandar Dragičević at his request, in order to consider the co-operation in solving the issue of voting rights for the 2048 Croats from Bosnian Posavina currently living in Croatia.

The two sides discussed further steps that would ensure said voters can legitimately realize their voting rights at the coming local elections, scheduled for 5 October this year.

Regarding the same issue, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Gordan Jandroković talked over the phone with BH Foreign Minister Sven Alkalaj.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration protested last week over the decision by the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina not to recognize the registration for going to the local election of the Croats from Bosnian Posavina, victims of war, who are currently living on the Croatian territory.
