Assistant Minister Marušić: “Croatia can contribute to Europe tailor-made for citizens”

Assistant Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Hrvoje Marušić opened the 51st Congress of the Association of European Journalists titled “Crisis – A New Start for Europe?”

Assistant Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Hrvoje Marušić opened the 51st Congress of the Association of European Journalists titled “Crisis – A New Start for Europe?”, underlining the importance of further integration and the significance of the opportunity for Croatia to actively contribute to the creation of a new Europe, tailor-made for the citizens, “a Europe that will be an added value for the member states”.

The EU reforms cannot be fully implemented without completing the enlargement process, which Croatia is dedicatedly working on, said Marušić. Stressing the importance of a wider social engagement in realizing big goals, he pointed out the role of the media, whose big influence carries with it a big responsibility, and called on them to give constructive contribution to a public debate on the future of Europe and Croatia in it, which the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs plans to launch soon.
