Assistant Minister Hrvoje Marušić attends debate on Croatia’s EU membership in Macedonia

Assistant Minister for European Affairs Hrvoje Marušić 9 July attended a debate on “Croatia’s EU Membership – A Prospect of Croatia-Macedonia Relations”, held at the Macedonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Speaking about the challenges of EU accession, Marušić presented the main aspects and news in regard to the methodology of Croatia’s accession negotiations, stressing that “membership is the result of years of reforms, which is a great success for Croatia, as well as for the EU enlargement policy”.

Croatia supports the European prospect of the Southeast European countries and will continue to actively back the region by transferring the experience and know-how through the Centre of Excellence, Marušić said.

Ahead of the debate, the assistant minister held talks with Macedonian Foreign Minister Nikola Poposki.
