Ambassador Željko Bošnjak presented credentials to Vietnamese President Nguyen Minh Triet in Hanoi, on Tuesday on 9 June 2009, whereby he became accredited ambassador of the Republic of Croatia to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam
During his stay in Vietnam, Ambassador Bošnjak held a series of meetings with the highest Vietnamese officials discussing about the improvement of the overall relations between the two countries, especially in the field of economy.
Both parties pointed out that the Economic Cooperation Agreement between the two countries signed during the last year’s visit of Croatian President Stjepan Mesić to Vietnam represented a good basis for further improvement and development of economic trade.
Both sides expressed the wish to implement as soon as possible the Agreement on cancelling visas for holders of diplomatic and official passports.
