Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Croatia to Egypt, Ivica Tomić, as a non-residential ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (Cairo), has presented his credentials in Abu Dhabi today to Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayid Al Nahayyan.
Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayid Al Nahayyan, the son of the president of the UAE, Sheikh Zayid bin Sultan Al Nahayyan, and Ambassador Tomić discussed the possibility of intensifying bilateral co-operation between the two countries, especially in the filed of economy. Sheikh Al Nahayyan called attention to difficult situation in the region regarding the Iraqi crisis.
Ambassador Tomić met in Abu Dhabi with the Croatian citizens and Ambassadors of Austria and Bosnia and Herzegovina to the UAE, with whom he discussed consular assistance to Croatian citizens who live and work there.
