Mr. Marjan Kombol, the Croatian Ambassador to Iran, presented credentials to Mr. Mohammad Seyed Khatami, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, on 31 August 2003.

During their meeting, the interlocutors emphasised the past successful cooperation between the two countries, to which President Mesić's visit to Iran in 2001 largely contributed.

Both sides agreed that the cooperation between the two countries should have specific form and gave a support to the meeting of the Joint Croatian-Iranian Committee for Economic Cooperation, to be held in early October this year in Zagreb.
