Deputy FM Ivan Šimonović met with the delegation of the Kingdom of Denmark...

On 2 September 2003, Mr. Ivan Šimonović, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Croatia, met with the delegation of the Kingdom of Denmark, headed by Mr. Friis Arne Petersen, Permanent Secretary of State with the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In the talks, good relations between the two countries were emphasised, which are unfortunately not paralleled with adequate economic exchange. In an exhaustive exchange of views and experiences, the interlocutors mostly talked about multilateral issues, and notably on the entry of the Republic of Croatia to the Euro-Atlantic integration.

The Danish Secretary of State Petersen promised full support of Denmark to Croatia in joining the EU and NATO, and emphasised the importance of Croatia's cooperation with the Hague Tribunal. The cooperation in adjusting Croatian institutions to the EU and NATO standards was arranged, and Denmark will share its experiences in this field with the Republic of Croatia.
