The MFAEI, on behalf of the Croatian Government, is taking part in the organisation of the 2nd Crans Montana Forum entitled Croatia: Europe’s Door to the East, to be held 5-7 April 2006 in Zagreb’s Westin hotel.

This year’s Forum should gather the representatives of the European and world’s political and business elite, present the growing potential of the Croatian economy and discuss the political and economic issues of joint interest such as the future of the EU, experiences in using the EU and other international institutions’ assistance, the development of financial, transport, energy and other sectors in South East Europe, attracting direct foreign investment, the development of tourism, etc. This is of special significance considering Croatia’s preparations for joining the EU and the importance of the European way for Croatia and other countries in the region.

The Forum primarily intended for businessmen – Croatian, European and the worlds’, as well as the business subjects from the countries in the region who, by organising this Forum, we wish to stimulate to strengthen the ongoing reform processes and continue along the European way”, said State Secretary Pejčinović Burić.

The Crans Montana Forum is a distinguished international business economic forum that has for almost two decades been organising meetings to stimulate international dialogue and the forming of high level partnerships between politics and economy, as well as between the economic subjects.
