Within the framework of political consultations issues were discussed regarding further development of co-operation between the two states, particularly those regarding Croatia’s access to the EU, in which Slovakia offered expert assistance, and the sharing of knowledge and experiences. Positions were exchanged on further intensifying activities within regional fora in Central Europe in the light of finding solutions for strengthening democratic stability in South Eastern Europe. The situation in South Eastern Europe was discussed and both sides emphasised that the European perspective of all states included in the Process of Stabilisation and Association was the best guarantee for permanent stability and strengthening of democratic processes in this part of Europe. Bilateral relations between Croatia and Slovakia were highly rated and concrete steps were agreed aimed at further strengthening of co-operation between the two states in both bilateral and multilateral affairs.
