We Are NATO campaign underscores Alliance’s central role in Euro-Atlantic security

Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman attended the promotion of the national We Are NATO video at the Zagreb Faculty of Political Science, together with Defence Minister Mario Banožić and Gender Equality Ombudswoman Višnja Ljubičić.
 
“We Are NATO was launched in 2017 to promote unity and solidarity within the Alliance in the context of collective contribution to peace and security. The campaign underscores NATO’s central role in maintaining Euro-Atlantic security, as well as the ways the Alliance utilizes diplomacy, military and technology to ensure peace. It also highlights its role in global security. We Are NATO focuses on the civilian component and addresses youth and women,” Grlić Radman said in his address.
 
The promotion of the national video officially marked the start of Croatia’s participation in the campaign, which it had joined to enhance the public’s understanding of NATO and underline the benefits of membership. The video was made in cooperation with the Croatian Firefighting Association, Medical High School of Mlinarska Street, Regional Centre of Excellence for Robotic Technologies (CRTA) and Croatian Armed Forces.
 
The campaign will entail a number of interactive events throughout the year, such as specialized conferences, sport events, and student visits to NATO-certified companies. Eight thematic activities aimed at youth and women are planned.
 
During the presentation, Grlić Radman and Ljubičić delivered a short lecture on the role and importance of NATO, Croatia’s participation, and gender equality in the Croatian Armed Forces.
