Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Gordan Jandrokovic participated 14 April 2011 in the Berlin meeting of NATO foreign ministers with the partners taking part in Libya operations.
In his speech, Minister Jandrokovic said that the joint efforts of the international community aimed at implementing the UN Security Council's resolutions had prevented a humanitarian disaster in eastern Libya. In that regard, he pointed out the professionalism and dedication of NATO forces, which had saved numerous lives.
He added that the Republic of Croatia applauded the contribution of the neighbouring countries in solving the situation in Libya, emphasizing the importance of finding a solution to the crisis in a wider regional context. Conclusively, he stated that Croatia was prepared to participate in all the necessary activities directed as improving the humanitarian situation in Libya.
