The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the Republic of Croatia welcomes the US Senate's decision to ratify the Protocol on NATO Enlargement to the Republic of Croatia. This act makes the US Senate third among the 26 NATO members to ratify the Protocol. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration considers this a significant step forward in the overall process of Croatia's NATO accession. We firmly believe that Croatia, who is already actively contributing to the peace and security of the Euro-Atlantic space, is ready to take part in the NATO system. In that regard, we expect the other members to ratify the Protocol too, so that at the next summit in April Croatia could become its full member.
