On December 14, 2015 at Hotel Borobudur was organized a reception on the occasion of the upcoming Holiday Season, organized by the Croatian Embassy in Jakarta. The reception was attended by Croatian citizens living in Jakarta, representatives of the diplomatic corps and MFA RI and friends of the Embassy. In a festive atmosphere, the tv screens in the room where the reception was held, were showing promotional films of the Croatian Tourism Board with winter landscapes of Croatia and „Advent in Zagreb“. Traditional Croatian Christmas cakes were prepared by Žuvela Bandung pastry, owned by a Croatian citizen from Korcula, living in Indonesia. The guests could taste the mulled wine from the Croatian traditional recipes.
At the bigining of the reception, Ambassador Dražen Margeta greeted all the guests and congratulated upcoming holidays. On this occasion, Ambassador also requested guests to sing together Christmas songs „Silent Night, Holy Night“ and „Jingle Bells“, each one in their own language, which texts were already prepared by employees of the Embassy. At the end of the event each guest received a raffle gift from Croatia (jams, ajvar, olive spreads Dida Boža donated by the Indonesian importer PT Saranakulina, Podravka products, promotional materials of the Croatian Tourism Board and Tourism Board of the City of Zagreb). This year"s Christmas and New Year reception was conducted in a calm and dignified atmosphere.
