Multicultural concert project „Croatia and South Pacific – United in Song“

On the 15th February the Croatian Embassy, together with the High Commissions of Fiji, Samoa, and Tonga organized a joint multicultural concert, “Croatia and South Pacific: United in Song”, in the reception hall of the Croatian Embassy. The concert was attended by 200 guests, including members of diplomatic missions, representatives from Australian government institutions, as well as members of all four ethnic communities. The concert mainly featured the “Klapa Samoana”, who performed songs in six languages (Croatian, Fijian, Samoan, Tongan, M?ori, and English). There were also performances from a musical group of Fijian community, as well as the presentation of a traditional tattoo culture of Samoa and a display of traditional dances from students of the ACT Tongan Language School. After the concert, delicious from all the countries were served. “Podravka International” also arranged a promotional table with various Croatian products, while there was also an exhibition of the Kingdom of Tonga handicrafts in the lobby of the Embassy.
