Ambassador Kušen visited Australian coal mines and energy facilities in Western Australia

Organised by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, accredited Ambassadors visited the largest mines and energy infrastructural facilities in Western Australia (Rio Tinto, BHP Billiton, Woodside LNG terminals). Western Australia accounts for half of total Australian exports, and nearly 90 percent of its exports are minerals, oil and gas, with 75 percent of the export of raw materials goes to China and other Asian countries. During the visit Ambassador Kušen checked the possible cooperation between those companies with Croatian, particularly in the context of membership in the European Union and the attractiveness of the Croatian ports for imports of Australian and Asian goods, minerals and energy products to the European market.
