Ambassador Kušen in Perth for strengthening economic cooperation between Croatian and Australia

With the aim of strengthening economic cooperation between Western Australia and Croatia, Ambassador initiated a joint meeting of the leadership of the Western Australian - Croatian Chamber of Commerce and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Western Australia. During the talks, they agreed on further cooperation between the two chambers, an exchange of information on economic projects as well as events that could strengthen the economic cooperation between the two countries. WACCC hosted a working dinner at which it was agreed to strengthen their cooperation with the newly established or renewed Australian-Croatian Chambers of Commerce in Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney. During the visit to the University of Western Australia it was agreed with the leadership of the university to launch an initiative of signing the Agreement on Cooperation with the University of Zagreb and/or with Croatian universities. The agreement would allow the student and professor exchanges and facilitate cooperation in research, as well as in science and technology projects. At Curtin University, Ambassador Kušen spoke with the President of the University Professor Deborah Terry and with the Deputy Rector for International Relations Professor Seth Kunin. It was agreed to review interest of the faculties for some form of institutional cooperation with the University of Zagreb.
