Ambassador Kušen in an official visit to Western Australia

At the invitation of the Government of Western Australia, Ambassador Damir Kušen was in an official visit to Perth from 28-29 August. He had a meeting with the provisional Governor of Western Australia, Kerry Sanderson; the Supreme Judge, H.E. Wayne Martin; with the presidents of the Upper House and Lower House of the Parliament of Western Australia, Michael Sutherland and Barry House; and with two parliamentarians of Croatian origin, Ms Ljiljana Ravlich and Tony Krsticevic (both were also at the dinner-meeting with the Croatian community). Ambassador Kušen also met with the Minister for Small and Medium Enterprises and Veterans, Joe Francis; with the Deputy Mayor of Perth, Mr Rob Butler; and the Director of Infrastructure and Companies, Mr Douglas Forster. Also, in the Ministry of National Development, he held a conversation with the Director for Europe, Middle East and Africa, Mr. Terence Wong and his associates. During the visit to the Australian Marine Complex, Ambassador Kušen met the Director-General, John O"Hareom, and his associates. During his visit to the Fremantle Port - the main harbor of Western Australia - Ambassador spoke with the Harbour Master and with the General Director, Gina Valentia as well as with the Director of External Relations, Ms Ainslie de Vos. In the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of WA he met with the Director General, Mr Nathan Bentley, and his colleagues. He had a separate meeting with the President of the Western Australian Croatian Chamber of Commerce. During his visit, Ambassador Kušen also met with the Croatian community, first in Perth, on August 27 in the Croatian Club Stirling Adriatic, and on August 28, in Freemantle at the Croatian Community Centre.
