On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the State of Israel, Tina Krce, Chargée d"Affaires a.i. of the Croatian Embassy, visited the burial place of the founder of the State of Israel and the first Prime Minister, David Ben-Gurion (1886 -1973), in Sde Biker, a kibbutz in the Negev desert of southern Israel. It was Ben-Gurion who, on 14 May 1948, delivered Israel’s Declaration of Independence.
After his retirement from all political activity in 1970, Ben-Gurion moved to Sde Boker, where he lived until his death.
