Embassy of the Republic of Croatia took part in the Europe Day events at the Israeli universities, presenting Croatia and programmes of studies at the Croatian universities to the Israeli students. Together with the missions of other European Union member states, Croatian Embassy had its Europe Day booth at the Hebrew University Jerusalem (4 May), where Ambassador Pjer šimunovic participated at the round table briefing Israeli students on the Croatian views on achievements and challenges of the EU, at the University of Haifa (7 May), and at the University Ben-Gurion of the Negev in Be"ersheva (18 May). Israeli students were very interested in exploring options of studying in Croatia, primarily the studies conducted in English language, such as the one at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Zagreb, already attended by the students from Israel. Among the young Israelis, Croatia is also a very popular tourist destination.
