Biking from Oslo to Nordkapp in winter – an extraordinary endeavour

On January 26th, 2016, Hrvoje Juric, a renowned Croatian cyclist, photographer and book author, has started his journey from Oslo to Nordkapp, a 2000 km long route. In the summer of 2013, Juric had already completed the same route during his „Across the Alps to Nordkapp“ project but will now have to face the harsh winter conditions of northern Norway, which makes this attempt an extraordinary endeavour. The journey should last approximately 35 days and Juric will report on the proceedings on his Facebook profile, which can be found under „Hrvoje Juric putopis“, as well as on other social and printed media. The Embassy of the Republic of Croatia has provided support and facilitated contacts with local media, administration and cycling associations. The Embassy staff greeted Mr Juric at the start of his route and Ambassador Marušic accompanied Juric along the first kilometres of his journey.
