Ambassador Prelog attended the EU-Mauritius Political Dialogue
Croatian Ambassador to South Africa Nenad Prelog attended the 4th EU-Mauritius Political Dialogue from 18th to 20th January 2016 in Port Louis in Mauritius. The European Union was represented by Ambassadors of Member States accredited to Mauritius (France, United Kingdom, Ireland, Portugal, Spain, Austria, Finland and Croatia) and Ambassador of the European Union in Mauritius Marjaana Sall. The Government of Mauritius was represented by six Ministers, led by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and International Trade Etienne Sinatambou. Ambassadors also briefly met the President of the Republic of Mauritius Ameenah Gurib-Fakim.
As the European Union is the most important trading partner of Mauritius, special attention during the Political Dialogue was committed to further strengthening of economic ties, especially regarding sustainable development, fisheries, maritime and ocean economy, renewable energy, climate change, regional economic cooperation as well as peace and security issues.
