Ambassador Ivan Picukaric handed the copies of his credentials to Mrs Alcinda Abreu, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Co-operation of the Republic of Mozambique. She expressed to the new non-resident Croatian Ambassador her hope that it would be possible to strengthen the bilaterals ties between Croatia and Mozambique, especially on the trade and economic plan. She inquired about the possibilities of furthering the trade co-operation, transfer of know-how and possible Croatian investments to Mozambique.
Maputo, 11 October 2006: Ambassador Ivan Picukaric handed his credentials to Mr Armando Emílio Guebuza, President of the Republic of Mozambique. The Ambassador reviewed the military guard of honour.
In short and warm conversation after the ceremony, Ambassador Picukaric gave to the President Guebuza regards of Mr Stjepan Mesic, President of the Republic of Croatia, and his invitation to visit Croatia. President Guebuza in principle accepted the invitation.
