The Ministerial Conference of the Union for the Mediterranean on Health, co chaired by the Egyptian Minister of Health and Population and the French Minister of Health was held in Cairo from 17 and 18 November 2008.
The Ministerial Conference of the Union for the Mediterranean on Health, co chaired by the Egyptian Minister of Health and Population and the French Minister of Health was held in Cairo from 17 and 18 November 2008.
The topics of the conference were health systems and workforce, communicable and non-communicable diseases.
The conference concluded by stressing the possibilities and needs of cooperation between the country members in order to raise the citizen's health level and by adopting the ministerial declaration.
The participants were country member's delegations, representatives of the European Commission and World Health Organization, as well as Croatian delegation as a country member.
The members of the Croatian delegation consisted of: Mrs. Danica Krmaric, Head of the Health Care Department of the Ministry of Health, Mrs. Nives Malenica, Coordinator for the Union for the Mediterranean, Minister Plenipotentiary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration and Mrs. Emina El Majzoub, third secretary at the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Cairo.
