Croatian Ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt Dražen Margeta handed over on 14 April 2008 in Abu Dhabi his credentials to the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheik Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, officially assuming the duty of the ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Republic of Croatia to the United Arab Emirates, seated in Cairo.

In friendly conversation after the ceremony of presenting the credentials both parties confirmed eagerness to intensify bilateral relations and cooperation in a number of areas.
