Croatian Swedish cooperation in the area of culture, science and education
Since 2000, there has been an intensified cooperation in the area of culture, science and education.
The cultural project «Musical links» enabled the exchange of numerous Croatian and Swedish musicians between 2005 and 2007, including the Swedish tour of the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra in March 2006. The exhibition “World Heritage Sites in Croatia on UNESCO list» was featured at the University Museum Gustavianum in Uppsala from May to August 2006. In the same year, Croatia and Sweden signed the Agreement on cooperation between the Zagreb University and the Uppsala University. Croatia was the partner country at the Biennale multimedia event Avesta Art 2008 from May to August 2008, where it was represented by twelve young artists.
Croatian films have been repeatedly featured at the Gothenburg film festival.
