On May 13, 2017 the European Union Embassies and the EU Delegation to the United States opened their doors to the public for the annual EU Embassies’ Open House: a day of family fun, food, culture and more. The event has offered visitors a rare look inside the embassies and provided an unique opportunity for them to experience the cultural heritage and national traditions of the 28 member countries.
The EU Open House Day was a tremendous success at the Embassy of Croatia, with a total attendance of 2,009 people. The Embassy showcased traditional culture by serving both food and wine from throughout Croatia. The Open House also included a group of musicians playing and singing traditional Croatian songs, along with presenting traditional Croatian dress and information about Croatia.
