The collocutors expressed satisfaction with the current level of the overall bilateral relations, especially the well-developed and diverse military cooperation, and declared readiness to continue the constructive and positive relations.
Minister Jandrokovic gave an overview of the Croatian military and civil persons' participation in the UN, NATO and EU-led peacekeeping missions around the globe, with an emphasis on the one containing the largest number of Croatian citizens – ISAF in Afghanistan, and outlined the results of the military and civil component.
The collocutors also discussed the bilateral military cooperation, whereby Undersecretary Flournoy offered that the cooperation be continued through the education and training of Croatian soldiers, noncommissioned officers and officers.
The meeting also saw the exchange of information about the situation in South Eastern Europe, with Minister Jandrokovic pointing out that the Euro-Atlantic perspective of the region if the only guarantee of lasting peace, stability and prosperity.
Undersecretary Flournoy wished Croatian Defense Minister Branko Vukelic a speedy recovery.
