The presentation "Process of Independence and International Recognition of the Republic of Croatia" was held on Thursday, November 24, 2022, at the Croatian Embassy in London. The lecture was given by Zeljka Krize Ph.D. and Ana Holjevac Tukovic Ph.D. from the Croatian Homeland War Memorial Documentation Center, as part of the program marking 30 years of international recognition. They presented the key events and decisions that led to the independence and international recognition of the Republic of Croatia in the period from 1990 to 1992, along with a projection of photographs from the CHWMDC collection. The goal of the project, as stated by the Center, is a better understanding of Croatian statehood by the international public. On January 15, 1992, Croatia became an internationally recognized country by EC members, among which was Great Britain, while diplomatic relations between the two countries were established on June 24 of the same year.
