23rd AMAC-UK Annual General Meeting
23rd AMAC-UK (Almae Matris Alumni Croaticae UK) Annual General Meeting was held on 10th of May 2015 at St Anne"s College in Oxford. AMAC-UK was founded in May 1993 at Green College, Oxford, at a meeting which attracted former graduates as well as friends of Croatian Universities. Since the inaugural meeting, the annual gathering is traditionally held on the second Sunday in May.
At this year"s gathering Mr. Neven Bicanic, president of the Association, greeted all the guests and presented the work of the association during the past 12 months. As the central event he pointed out theAnnual Charity Concert in support of Academic Award Programme which is provided for students who are working on projects linked to Croatia and the UK. Annual gatherings are followed by lectures whose topics cover some less known connections between Croatia and the United Kingdom. This year"s lecture called "The Treaty of London 2015" was held by postdoc student from the University of Vienna, Mr. Vicko Marelic. The lecture was followed by a festive lunch for members and families. On behalf of Croatian Embassy, intern Matko ?evoic was present at this event.
