The Minister for European Integration of the Republic of Croatia Mrs Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic led a delegation to a working visit to Ireland November 1st-4th 2004. One of the main aims of the visit was the acquiring of information related to Irish experiences in the European Union, in particular concerning communication European affairs to its citizens.

One of the main aims of the visit was the acquiring of information related to Irish experiences in the European Union, in particular concerning communication European affairs to its citizens. The delegation included representatives of the Ministry of European Integration, Ministry of European affairs, representatives of the civil society as well as media representatives.
Minister Grabar-Kitarovic met during her visit with the Minister of State in the Department of Foreign Affairs with special responsibility for European Affairs Mr Noel Treacy TD, and attended briefings at the Institute of Public Administration, the Institute of European Affairs, the National Forum on Europe, the European Movement and Irish Farmers Association, the Information Office of the National Development Plan and Enterprise Ireland. She also had a briefing with the Political Editor of The Irish Times, Mr Paul Gillespie.
The Minister of State for European Affairs Mr Noel Tracey TD congratulated Croatia on its approchement to the European Union and reiterated Ireland's support for Croatia's way to becoming an EU member. Minister Grabar-Kitarovic thanked the Irish Government for its support, in particular during the Irish EU Presidency and expressed the wish of further intensifying the co-operation between the two countries.
