A Croatian delegation led by State Secretary for development Dr Ante Babic visited Ireland from 14 until 17 March 2005. The delegation held meetings with representatives of the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Enterprise Ireland, IDA Ireland, NDP Office, ESRI (Economic and Social Research Institute), FORFAS and Citywest Business Park.
A Croatian delegation led by State Secretary for development Dr Ante Babic visited Ireland from 14 until 17 March 2005. Other members of the delegation included Mr Željko Kirincic, Managing Director of the Trade and Investment Promotion Agency, Mr Damir Novinic, Project Management Specialist and Mr Padraic White, Advisor of the Government of the Republic of Croatia.
The delegation held meetings with representatives of the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Enterprise Ireland, IDA Ireland, NDP Office, ESRI (Economic and Social Research Institute), FORFAS and Citywest Business Park.
All the institutions have presented an overview of the development of the Irish economy in all its aspects for the last 20 years, as well as their role in shaping and implementing the national strategy of economical development. All Irish institutions have readily accepted the offer for further co-operation and exchange of views with relevant agencies in Croatia.
Dr Tomislav Josip Mlinaric, CEO of Croatian Railways, visited a few of the main institutions/agencies in the Irish transport sector, thus acquiring insight in the main aims of the development of the Irish transport system (mainly railway and Dublin transport).
