On Saturday, November 22, 2025, a one-day festival of European literature in Dublin Storylines Europe was held at Europe House, the European Parliament's representation in Ireland. The festival was organized by the Irish cluster of the EUNIC network, and coordinated by the Embassy of France in Ireland and the Cervantes Institute.
In the capacity of this year's co-chair of the EUNIC network in Ireland, the festival was opened with an introductory speech by the Croatian Ambassador to Ireland, Davor Vidiš. He welcomed all guests and writers, illustrators and translators from France, Poland, Estonia, Italy, the UK, Hungary, Spain, Luxembourg, and Ireland who were part of this year's festival. He emphasized the importance of the initiative to bring European and Irish culture closer together through literature and to create a recognizable event that has the potential to attract an Irish audience in the years to come. As Storylines is the last event organised by the EUNIC network in Ireland this year, H.E. Vidiš thanked all colleagues for their dedicated work and support for the Dublin Presidency in 2025.
The festival took place throughout the day and included five panel discussions on topics such as history, identity, poetry and linguistics. In addition, the audience had the opportunity to meet the authors, bring books for signing and chat with the writers over coffee or wine after the panels.
