On 4 November 2025, the Short Shorts From Europe short Film Festival was held in Dublin at the Lighthouse Cinema, organised by the Irish EUNIC cluster (EU Network of Cultural Institutes) under the leadership of the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Ireland.

The festival was opened with an introductory speech by the Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia to Ireland, Davor Vidiš. He thanked the partner embassies and cultural institutes with whom the Croatian Embassy is collaborating on the project, as well as external partners: the Lighthouse Cinema team, the School of Art and Design of Shannon University in Limerick, and the Cork International Film Festival. He highlighted the importance of EUNIC's work in Ireland, which is actively working to bring European cultures closer together in Ireland and promotes common European values.

The Lighthouse Cinema was almost full, and the majority of the audience was made up of residents in Dublin, which is the aim of the project - to bring European culture closer to the Irish local audience.

The festival screened the Croatian film Gamer Girl by Irene Jukić, and other films in the competition are from Poland, Cyprus, Italy, France, Spain, Hungary, Slovenia, Portugal, and Ireland. At the end of the festival, the audience had the opportunity to vote for the best film. The film from Cyprus won first place, and the Croatian film won amazing second place.

Before the screening, there was a wine reception at which visitors had the opportunity to try wines from Croatia, Italy, Slovenia, Hungary, or Portugal.

Short Shorts from Europe was previously screened in Limerick in October, and upcoming screenings are in Cork on November 11, as part of the Cork International Film Festival, and in Galway on November 13 at the IMC Cinema.

This year, the quality of the project was recognized by the Irish national media service RTÉ, which promoted the festival on its social networks (323 thousand followers on Facebook and 986 thousand followers on Instagram).
