Legalisation of Documents/Notary Service

LEGALIZATION OF DOCUMENTS:

In order to use an Irish document in Croatia certain documents issued by the Irish authorities - e.g. Certified Copy of an Entry of a Birth, Marriage and Death accompanied with corresponding annexes such as Multilingual Standard Forms (MSF)  issued only when you are obtaining a certificate from the General Register Office in Ireland. Having MSF there is no need to translate those documents into Croatian. Note, the power of attorney need to translated into Croatian by an official interpreter in the Ireland or by a certified court interpreter in Croatia.

In order to use Croatian documents in Ireland the documents Embassy has information that legalisation of the documents with Apostille stamp is generally not required.

NOTARY SERVICE:

Requests for verification of a signature can only be submitted in person at the Embassy by submitting an original valid Croatian passport or an original valid Croatian identity card.

FEE: 9 EUR per signature paid by debit card in the premises of the embassy.

If you do not hold a valid original Croatian passport or identity card, the Embassy cannot verify your signature. In this case, please seek the verification of the signature at a notary public or solicitor in Ireland. These documents must be translated into Croatian.

The Embassy reserves the right to request additional documents while conducting legally binding proceedings related to each request submitted.
