Second round of Croatia-Montenegro bilateral consultations

On 14 May 2025, the second round of bilateral consultations between Croatia and Montenegro was held in Zagreb. The consultations were co-chaired by Frano Matušić, State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia, and Periša Kastratović, State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro. This meeting marked a continuation of the dialogue initiated during the first round of consultations on 27 January 2025.
 
During the meeting, the participants engaged in an open dialogue on the progress made in resolving outstanding issues. They also discussed the further course of action, timelines, and methods for addressing these matters, with the aim of achieving concrete results.
 
Progress in resolving open issues will contribute to the overall bilateral relations and to Montenegro's further integration into the European Union, which is a shared interest. Both sides agreed to maintain regular contact on these matters.
