Minister Grlić Radman attends informal meeting of NATO foreign ministers

Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman participated on Wednesday and Thursday, May 14-15, 2025, in the informal meeting of NATO foreign ministers held in Antalya. The discussions focused on preparations for the NATO Summit, which will take place this June in The Hague. Key topics for the upcoming summit were also discussed, including increasing defence investments, strengthening the defence industrial capacities of allied nations, enhancing the Alliance’s deterrence and defence posture, and addressing major security challenges and threats.
 
Grlić Radman confirmed that in 2025, Croatia reached the targeted defence spending level of 2% of its gross national income. He emphasized that the Croatian government continues to modernize its armed forces and stated that it will further work to ensure better equipment and readiness of the Croatian Armed Forces. He reiterated the need for unified support to Ukraine and expressed support for efforts aimed at achieving a just and sustainable peace in the country.
 
During the meeting, Grlić Radman also spoke about the security situation and challenges in Southeast Europe, particularly in the Western Balkans, a region of strategic importance for the Alliance.
