With reference to the information in the Croatian press according to which Croatian citizens have had administrative difficulties recently when entering the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Croatia has requested an explanation from the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Zagreb. Croatian citizens may continue to travel to the Russian Federation without visas according to previously signed agreement if they possess original business or private invitation certified by competent police administration of the Russian Federation, and in case of a tourist visit, a voucher by a competent tourist agency, the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Zagreb has explained.

Due to consistent application of the above mentioned agreement, copies of business or private invitations will no longer be accepted, so the Croatian citizens who do not have original invitations may have problems when entering the Russian Federation.
