Two-day economic gathering on “Possibilities of Nanotechnology Application in Economy” held in Zagreb

The gathering pointed out the importance of nanotechnology application in economy, and one of its goals was to strengthen the cooperation among scientists and companies, as well as financing innovation. In that regard, Ambassador Damir Kušen expressed his belief in this cooperation prompting the Croatian companies to recognize the role of nanotechnology in business activities, as well as its use in profiling products for the European and global market.

The gathering was one of the initiatives launched by the Croatian Embassy in Helsinki, aimed at strengthening the economic cooperation between Croatia and Finland, and uniting the Croatian companies and institutes in said area. This promotes the importance of science, the transfer of high technology, innovation, and their application in economy, which at the same time shows the Croatian diplomacy’s orientation towards intensifying the economic activities in high-technology transfer.

The gathering was attended by representatives of scientific institutes, universities, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports, the Ministry of Economy, Labour and Entrepreneurship, as well as the Croatian companies.
