Traditional Christmas reception held at Croatian Embassy to Belgium

Among the numerous guests and the Croatian Ambassador to the European Communities, Branko Baričević, Croatian Ambassador to NATO Davor Božinović, Chief Negotiator with the EU Vladimir Drobnjak, and former Ambassador Janko Vranyczany-Dobrinović, the reception was augmented by the presence of Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader, accompanied by Minister of Culture Božo Biškupić, Head of the Prime Minister’s Cabinet Bianka Matković, and State Secretary for Political Affairs at the MFAEI Hido Biščević.

Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader held an occasional speech, expressing his pleasure with Croatia’s confirmed credibility and the current position within the international community, which opens new possibilities of a speedier integration into the Euro-Atlantic structures.

In her welcoming speech, Croatian Ambassador to Belgium Ljerka Alajbeg reminded of the Embassy’s achievements during last year, pointing out the importance of the successful joint efforts in Croatia’s EU accession, evident in the bilateral relations as well.
