The third Iberian-Slavonic Days were held in Lisbon last week.

Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia to the Republic of Portugal Željko Vukosav was present at the opening ceremony at the Camões Institute of the Portuguese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and he addressed the participants in a welcoming speech.

Ambassadors of the Slavic countries accredited to Portugal also attended the opening ceremony. The aim of this meeting of scientists, artists and people working in the field of culture from eight Slavic countries (the Czech Republic, Croatia, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Serbia, Russia and Ukraine) and two Iberian countries (Portugal as host country and Spain) was to strengthen the relations between the utmost western parts of Europe and the cultures of the Slavic northeast, central and southeast Europe.

As part of the Iberian-Slavonic Days, the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia exhibited a board presenting motifs from Croatia.
