The Government of the Republic of Croatia adopted the Decision on temporary suspension of the visa regime for citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation and Ukraine

The suspension shall apply as of 1 April until 31 October 2010. Also, a Decision was adopted on temporary facilitation of entry of foreigners into the Republic of Croatia, based on the valid Schengen residence permits and visas for the purpose of tourist visit to Croatia.

As one of the measures for liberalisation of the Croatian visa regime to facilitate the entry of foreign tourists in Croatia, in 2010 visas will temporarily not be required for certain categories of foreigners, as follows: for foreigners holding a valid Schengen residence permit, foreigners coming from cruise ships if they hold a valid Schengen visa, for the citizens of the Republic of India and the People’s Republic of China who are visiting Croatia in organised groups, and if they hold a valid Schengen visa, and for the citizens of the Hashemit Kingdom of Jordan, the State of Kuwait, the Sultanate of Oman and the United Arab Emirates, if they hold a valid Schengen visa.

A similar measure for the citizens of certain states was adopted before the start of the last year’s tourist season, resulting in a higher number of tourists from these states.
