The Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt forwarded a note to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Croatia

The Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt forwarded a note to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Croatia concerning the incident that has happened to a child of an official of the Egyptian Embassy, expressing understanding and hope that the Croatian authorities would find the perpetrators so that such incidents do not happen in the future. The Egyptian Embassy considers that it is a only coincidence that another Egyptian citizen was attacked a week ago, and emphasise the friendly atmosphere they experience by the Croatian people.

In communication with the Egyptian Embassy, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its regret because of this hooligan act and does not connect it with xenophobia or other form of nationalism or racism in the Republic of Croatia, while not lessening the severity and the importance of the incident.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs severely condemns such incidents that have frequently occurred in the Republic of Croatia lately.
