Minister Gordan Grlić Radman paid a working visit to London, where he met with the UK’s Foreign Secretary James Cleverly. The two officials discussed the friendly bilateral relations, cooperation within international organizations, the strengthening of economic cooperation, continued support for Ukraine, and the importance of a stable Western Balkans.

In addition, Grlić Radman and Cleverly signed a Joint Declaration on bilateral cooperation between Croatia and the UK.

“Last year, we marked the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between our countries. Today’s declaration reflects our close friendship and common values – the protection of fundamental freedoms, democracy and the rule of law. We are committed to working jointly on promoting these values globally and reaffirm our unwavering commitment to the security and stability of the Euro-Atlantic area and to the rule-based international order,” Grlić Radman said. The two officials underscored that Croatia and the UK shared the same views on a number of topics, from foreign policy, defence and security to trade and education, with common values underpinned by close cooperation within international organizations.

“The alliance between London and Zagreb is growing ever stronger. Today’s declaration is brining our countries even closer together – and we already are good friends, close partners and allies – and will advance our cooperation in security and defence, cybersecurity, energy diversification, and a number of bilateral topics,” Cleverly said.

During his stay in London, Grlić Radman met with representatives of the British-Croatian Chamber of Commerce, the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Croatia and Croatian expat community. He also visited the Croatian Catholic Mission headed by Fr. Ljubomir Šimunović.
