State Secretary for European Integration Marija Pejčinović Burić received on 23 March 2007 Ambassador of the Russian Federation Mikhail Konarovsky
State Secretary Pejčinović Burić and Ambassador Konarovsky agreed that the bilateral relations between the Republic of Croatia and the Russian Federation are very good and friendly.
State Secretary Pejčinović Burić informed the Russian side about the course of Croatia’s membership negotiations with the EU and the expectations regarding the future negotiations dynamic.
Ambassador Konarovsky expressed full support for the efforts Croatia is making in view of the EU accession. He pointed out that the Russian Federation has a very constructive and broad political and trade relations with all of the EU members, adding that Croatia’s joining the European integration will enhance the existing and open new relations between the tow countries.
