State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Gordan Bakota, spoke with representatives of the Catholic parish of Žepče in Bosnia-Herzegovina

State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Croatia, Gordan Bakota, spoke with representatives of the Catholic parish of Žepče in Bosnia-Herzegovina, run by Salesians.

They informed State Secretary Bakota about the situation in the municipality of Žepče with a population of about 25,000 Croats. Both sides expressed their wishes to maintain Croatian cultural identity in this area predominantly populated by Croats.

The visitors informed State Secretary about the financial problems facing the Catholic School in Žepče which plans to build a multipurpose hall to gather all local people for cultural, sports and other social events. State Secretary Bakota and his visitors also considered the possibility of introducing Croatian consular days in Žepče.
