State Secretary Hido Biščević received UK Ambassador John Ramsden, pending the EC’s meeting 27 October in London
State Secretary for Political Affairs at the MFAEI Hido Biščević received today, 21 October 2005, UK Ambassador John Ramsden, pending the European Council’s meeting 27 October 2005 in London, that will also see Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader
The talks reviewed some of the key topics of the Council’s meeting, such as the financial perspective and further development strategy of the European institutions.
As regards the bilateral relations between Croatia and the UK, Ambassador Ramsden communicated the British Government’s interest to further improve the co-operation within the context of Croatia’s accession negotiations with the EU. The tow agreed that the pending visit by the British Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott will greatly contribute to the development of the overall partnership between Croatia and the United Kingdom.
