State Secretary at the Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Hido Biščević met today, 7 July 2004, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Zagreb, with Director General for European Co-operation at the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs Marnix Krop
The meeting discussed Croatia’s European future, preparations for the start of the ascension negotiations with the EU, Dutch presidency, and co-operation between the countries in the region.
State Secretary Biščević informed Director General Krop about the current foreign policy activities and priorities of the Croatian government. Director General Krop congratulated the Croatian side on the achievements in approaching the EU, expressing his conviction that Croatia will be able to end its ascension negotiations in a timely manner, pointing out the positive effect that this will have on other countries in the region.
